How to use Voicemaker Free?+
Extremely simple — only 3 steps:

Do I need to register an account?+
No. Voicemaker Free is completely free and requires no registration or login. Just open the page and use it immediately.
Can it be used on mobile phones?+
Yes. Voicemaker Free works well on all devices — Android, iPhone, tablet — via web browsers. No app installation needed.
🎵 Voices & Audio
Which voices are supported?+
Voicemaker Free supports two AI voice sources: Microsoft Edge Neural TTS (default, free) and Google Cloud TTS (requires API Key — free up to 4M characters/month). Together, hundreds of Neural AI voices across 14 languages.
Can I download MP3 files?+
Yes. After synthesis is complete, the ⬇ Download MP3 button will be enabled. Click it to download the audio file.
How is the audio quality?+
Very good. These are Neural AI voices (not old robot TTS), so the audio sounds natural with natural intonation, suitable for reading articles, documents, short stories, etc. The exported MP3 is high quality.
Can I adjust the reading speed?+
Yes, 2 ways:
Synthesis speed: The speed slider in Settings (affects the downloaded MP3 file)
Real-time playback speed: The 🚀 slider below the player (0.5× – 3.0×, does not affect the MP3 file)
You can also use ←→ keys to adjust the playback speed quickly.
⚙️ Limits & Technical
What is the character limit?+
The input box is limited to 5,000 characters per request. For longer texts, the app automatically splits it into multiple chunks (~900 characters/chunk) and merges them into one seamless MP3.
Why is synthesis sometimes slow?+
Speed depends on: text length (longer = more chunks), your network connection, and Cloudflare Worker load at that moment.
Is my data saved?+
No. The text you enter is only sent to synthesize the audio and is not saved on any server. We do not collect personal data.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?+
Yes! Useful shortcuts: Space (Play / Pause), Esc (Stop and cancel), Arrow keys (Adjust speed).
How to get Google Cloud API Key (Free 4M characters/month)?+
Google Cloud allows converting 4 million Standard characters free each month.
Step 1: Go to Google Cloud Console Visit console.cloud.google.com and sign in with Gmail.
Step 2: Create a New Project Click project list on top-left ➡️ Click New Project ➡️ Enter name ➡️ Click Create. Select the project.
Step 3: Enable Cloud Text-to-Speech API Search for Cloud Text-to-Speech API and click Enable.
Step 4: Create API Key Go to Menu ➡️ APIs & Services ➡️ Credentials. Click + Create Credentials ➡️ Select API key. Copy and paste it in Settings on our homepage.

No. Voicemaker Free is an independent text-to-speech project offering free tools. We do not require account registration or restrict core features, making it a great free alternative to Voicemaker.in.
